Javier Velaza is Professor of Latin Philology. His main research lines are Latin Epigraphy, Pre-Roman languages of the Iberian Peninsule, Roman Literature and Textual Criticism. He has published the books Léxico de Inscripciones Ibéricas (1976-1989), Barcelona 1991, Epigrafía y lengua ibéricas, Madrid 1996, Litterae in titulis, tituli in litteris, Barcelona 1998 (amb Marc Mayer i Mónica Miró), Itur in antiquam silvam. Cuestiones en torno a la tradición antigua del texto de Virgilio, Frankfurt 2001, M. Valeri Probi Beryti fragmenta, Barcelona 2005 i La historia del texto de Terencio en la Antigüedad, Barcelona 2007, and more than two hundred papers. He is the coordinator of the research team LITTERA.
